How to Create a Bootable USB Drive Without Using Any Software

To create a bootable USB drive manually, we will use the Command Prompt as a Windows default program. Here are step by step to create a bootable USB drive as the Windows installation media. To create a bootable USB drive as a Windows installation media, we require at least 4 GB for minimum capacity. Larger capacity is better. At this moment, I use the USB flash drive with 2 GB of capacity as just an example. It's due to some reasons that my 4 GB flash drive encountered an unusual problem that i have to fix later. :D

Step 1: Using DISKPART command

  1. Insert your USB flash drive to your running computer. As the first step, we need to run Command Prompt as administrator. To do this, we need to find cmd by typing 'cmd' in the search box on Windows Start Menu. After search result for 'cmd' appears, right click on it and select "Run as administrator".
  2. Type 'diskpart' on Command Prompt (without quotes) and hit Enter. Wait for a while until the DISKPART program run.
  3. Type 'list disk' to view active disks on your computer and hit Enter. There would be seen that the active disks shown as Disk 0 for hard drive and Disk 1 for your USB flashdrive with its total capacity.
  4. Type 'select disk 1' to determine that disk 1 would be processed in the next step then hit Enter.
  5. Type 'clean' and hit Enter to remove all of data in the drive.
  6. Type 'create partition primary' and hit Enter. Creating a primary partition and further recognized by Windows as 'partition 1'.
  7. Type 'select partition 1' an hit Enter. Choosing the 'partition 1' for setting up it as an active partition.
  8. Type 'active' and hit Enter. Activating current partition.
  9. Type 'format fs=ntfs quick' and hit Enter. Formatting current partition as NTFS file system quickly.
  10. Type 'exit' and hit Enter. Leaving DISKPART program but don't close the Command Prompt instead. We would still need it for next process.

Step 2: Creating Boot Sector

Let us assume that the flash / USB drive is the D: drive and the DVD installer located on drive F :. The first step, we will navigate Command Prompt to set installation DVD as its active directory.
  1. By default, Command Prompt's active directory for Administrator permission is on C:\Windows\System32>. We will navigate Command Prompt to set on DVD (F:) as its active directory. Just type 'f:' then hit Enter, and the active directory changed to F:.
  2. Type 'cd boot' and hit Enter. Active directory changed to F:\boot>.
  3. Type 'bootsect /nt60 d:' and hit Enter. Creating boot sector on D: drive (USB flash drive).
  4. Type 'exit' and hit Enter to close the Command Prompt. Until this step we have made a bootable USB drive sucessfully, and the flash drive is ready to be used as a boot media.

Step 3: Copying Installation Files

To install Windows from a bootable USB drive, we just need to copy the whole installation files contained on the DVD installer to flash drive. To do this, open the Command Prompt as in previous steps. Once it opens, type 'xcopy f: \ *. * d: \ / E / H / F' and then press Enter. Wait until all the files in the DVD installer copied to the flash drive. Now bootable USB drive is ready to be used for installing Windows from flash drive and you're done

आज के दौर में जब भी अपने चारों और नज़र डालता हूँ तो अपने अनजाने future की तरफ  बेतहाशा भागते हुए मशीनी  बच्चों और नौजवानों को देख कर अजीब सा महसूस होता है,  competition के इस दौर में बच्चे एक robot की तरह से नज़र आने लगे हैं, जो की एक मकसद के लिए ही program किये गए हैं, बड़ी से बड़ी post हासिल करना और बड़ी से बड़ी डिग्री हासिल करना, और इन सब के बीच एक चीज़ लगातार ग़ायब होती जा रही है और वो है उनके संस्कार, और social values के बारे में जानकारी!  जो तहज़ीब और values हमारे बुजुर्गों में थी और लगभग हमारी पीढ़ी तक आने के बाद अब शायद एक बड़ा  gap सा आ गया है,  और इस gap को बढ़ने में कहीं न कहीं एक माँ बाप के रूप में हम भी इसके कुसूरवार हैं, क्योंकि जो तहज़ीब, संस्कार और social values हमें अपने बुजुर्गों से विरासत में मिली थी हम उनको आगे बढाने में नाकाम होते जा रहे हैं, और इसकी वजह साफ़ तौर पर इस भागम भाग और मार काट वाली प्रतियोगिता ही है !

बचपन में परिवारों में बुज़ुर्ग और माँ बाप अपने बच्चों को motivational stories सुनाते थे, बच्चों को अच्छी अच्छी कहानियां और किस्से सुना कर उसमें संस्कार और समझ भरी जाती थी, परिवार से ही उसको काफी बुनियादी बातें और उंच नीच , झूठ और सच, अल्लाह और इश्वर, सबके बारे में किस्से और कहानियों और बातों के ज़रिये, धार्मिक किताबों के ज़रिये ...अच्छी तरह से समझा दिया जाता था, मगर अब यह सब बातें एक black & White फिल्म की तरह से ख़त्म हो सी गयी हैं, इसके लिए देखा जाए तो बदलते हुए दौर, मारा मारी, busy life , कठिन मुकाबला और भी कई बातें ज़िम्मेदार हैं...आज जहाँ nuclear family का दौर चल निकला है, जहाँ माँ बाप और दो बच्चों को ही एक परिवार कहा जाता है, संयुक्त परिवार गायब होते जा रहे हैं, और इसके साथ ही बुजुर्गों की जगह भी ऐसे परिवारों से गायब होती जा रही है, ऐसे Nuclear families में जहाँ माता पिता दोनों ही नौकरी करते हों, और बच्चे घर के नौकरों के हवाले हों, वहां कौन इन नन्हे मुन्नों को यह सारी शिक्षा, संस्कार, तहज़ीब, और social values के बारे में बताये...? और फिर दूसरी बात आजकल के इस दौर में हर आदमी मशीनी हो गया है, हर काम एक सोचे समझे प्रोग्राम के तहत होता है, यहाँ तक की बच्चा भी ...और फिर उसको पैदा होने के बाद कौनसे स्कूल में  registration कराना है, और फिर स्कूल के बाद कौनसे कालेज में, और फिर कितना donation दे कर क्या बनाना है, यह सब उसके पैदा होने से पहले ही program कर लिया जाता है, या पैदा होते ही तय हो जाता है, यानि बच्चा एक computerized रोबोट हो गया, उसकी पूरी लाइफ का प्रोग्राम बना कर उसको उसी software के हिसाब से टाइम टेबल में फिट कर दिया जाता है, और फिर यह मशीनी बच्चा दिन भर एक मशीन की तरह सुबह उठ कर, टिफन लेकर स्कूल, फिर tuition , फिर yoga क्लास, फिर swimming , फिर जुडो क्लास, फिर घर आकर होम वर्क, और फिर थक कर सो जाना....!

माता पिता बच्चे से चाह कर भी फुर्सत से बैठ कर बात नहीं कर सकते क्योंकि वैसे तो खुद उनके पास ही वक़्त नहीं है, और अगर है...तो फिर बच्चों के पास नहीं है, क्योंकि अगर बच्चों को वक़्त मिलता है तो उसके लिए मनोरंजन के इतने साधन हैं कि वो कुछ सुनने को तैयार ही नहीं होगा...हमारे समय में बुज़ुर्ग फुर्सत के वक़्त हमें अपनी ज़िन्दगी का निचोड़ और अच्छी अच्छी बातें बताते थे, पढने को अच्छी अच्छी किताबें और कामिक्स हुआ करती थीं, मगर आज के बच्चों के पास मनोरंजन के  लिए कंप्यूटर game हैं, इन्टरनेट है, विडिओ गेम हैं, मोबाइल है, और उसकी दुनिया भी यही है...!

अब ऐसे बच्चों को कैसे किसी अच्छी और बुरी बात के बारे में या संस्कार और social values के बारे में तरीके से बताया जाए, यह लोग अपनी विरासत से दूर होते जा रहे हैं, अच्छा क्या है, बुरा क्या है,  समझने का वक़्त नहीं है, और अगर वक़्त कभी निकल भी आये तो माता पिता के पास वक़्त नहीं होता, जबकि हर माता पिता यही चाहता है कि वो अपने बच्चों को एक अच्छा इंसान बनाये और उसको हर अच्छी बुरी बातों से   परिचित कराया जाए, मगर इस competition भरे  दौर की मारा मारी में सब ख्याल कहीं दब कर रह जाते हैं, माता पिता अपने नौकरी और घर के बीच balance बनाते बनाते एक pendulum कि तरह हो रहे हैं, और बच्चे अपने आप को इस दौर के लायक बनाने के लिए पढ़ाई, इन्टरनेट, coaching , Jim ,  योगा की क्लास  के गोल गोल पहिये में घूम रहा है, एक चमकीले future और अच्छी  नौकरी, और एक बेहतरीन ज़िन्दगी के लिए लगातार हर दिशा में दौड़ लगा रहा है..और इस भाग दौड़, competition , और आपा धापी में इनका नन्हा बचपन कही कुचल कर रह गया है...!

इस दौर की इस त्रासदी को मैं तो यही कह सकता हूँ कि ....माँ बाप दोराहे पर~~~~~और ~~~बच्चे चौराहे पर~~~~~!!

मैंने देखा है पहले विज्ञानं जैसे विषयों को टेक्निकल माना जाता था और इतिहास और भूगोल और हिंदी जैसे विषयों को लोग पढ़कर याद किया करते थे लेकिन अब ऐसा नहीं है पढने के तौर तरीको में भी निरंतर विकास हुआ है और लोग इन विषयों को भी उसी गंभीरता से लेते है जैसे की विज्ञानं और गणित के छात्र लिया करते है और उसी तरीके से इन विषयों की पढाई में तकनीक का इस्तेमाल करते हुए बेहतर रिजल्ट प्राप्त करने की कोशिश करते है  |
कैसे करें टेक्निकल पढाई –  वैसे आप कुछ विशेष तरीको से अपने पढने का तरीका कस्टमाइज कर सकते है | जो हर किसी के लिए थोडा अलग हो सकता है लेकिन साथ ही अगर आप शुरू से अपनी पढाई को लेकर संजीदा होते है तो परीक्षा की तैयारी जैसा कांसेप्ट आपको मुश्किल नहीं लगता है फिर भी अगर आप परीक्षा के समय ही जागते है तो आपको बता देते है किसी भी विषय को टेक्निकल अप्रोच के साथ पढने के लिए आप चार्ट बना सकते है और किसी topic को एक विशेष महत्वपूर्ण तरीके से जरुरी बिन्दुओ के साथ हाईलाइट करते हुए उसे नोट्स तैयार कर सकते है | जिस से आपको कोई भी विषय या टॉपिक पढ़ते समय आपको बोरियत नहीं होती है क्योंकि जरुरी चीजों को याद कर लेने पर उसके आस पास या उस से जुड़े topic याद करने में आपको आसानी होती है  |
पैटर्न का प्रयोग करें – नोट्स बनाने के लिए सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात ये है की आप उसे रेगुलर किताबों में लिखी चीजों की तरह न लिखे और न ही उनका विस्तारपूर्ण तरीका इस्तेमाल करें बल्कि खुद का एक तरीका अपनाएं जिस से आपको याद रखने में आसानी हो जैसे आप किसी भी हिंदी या ऐसे विषय जिनमे विस्तार पूर्ण लिखा गया हो , उनके लिए किसी एक बिंदु को सेण्टर में रखकर उस से जुड़े हुए कुछ महत्वपूर्ण facts की एक श्रेणी तैयार करें जिस से आप उस टॉपिक से रिलेटेड जितने भी महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु है उनको दिमाग में आसानी से रिविजन के दौरान बिठा पायें और छोटे छोटे चार्ट केमिस्ट्री और बायोलॉजी के स्टूडेंट की तरह विषयों को समझने की कला खुद में विकसित करें  |
परीक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए बनाये कोड – हमेशा की तरह परीक्षा के समय आपके पास बहुत सारा समय नहीं होता है इसलिए ध्यान रखे और जितने भी विषय के आपको नोट्स तैयार करने हो उनके महत्वपूर्ण टॉपिक के नाम के पहले
